When you log in to CSSkins via Steam OpenID, we collect the following information from your public Steam profile: your Steam ID (a unique numeric identifier), display name, and avatar URL. We also store your Steam Trade URL if you choose to provide it. We do not collect your Steam password, email address, or any payment information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: (a) authenticate your identity and provide access to the Platform; (b) display your profile information within the Platform; (c) facilitate trades by sending trade offers to your Steam account; (d) maintain records of your trading activity and transaction history; (e) improve the Platform's functionality and user experience; (f) communicate with you regarding your account or trades when necessary.
3. Steam Data
CSSkins accesses your Steam inventory data to display your CS2 items on the trading page. This data is fetched in real time from Steam's API and is not permanently stored on our servers unless an item is involved in a trade. Item data such as names, icons, float values, and market prices are cached temporarily to improve performance.
4. Cookies & Sessions
We use session cookies to keep you logged in after authenticating via Steam. These cookies contain a session token and do not include personal information. Session cookies expire when you log out or after a period of inactivity. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may be shared in the following circumstances: (a) with Steam/Valve Corporation as necessary to facilitate trades; (b) if required by law, regulation, or legal process; (c) to protect the rights, safety, or property of CSSkins, our users, or the public; (d) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Trade history and transaction records are kept indefinitely for record-keeping and dispute resolution purposes. If you wish to have your data deleted, please contact us through the Support page. Upon account deletion, your personal profile data will be removed, but anonymized trade records may be retained.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to: (a) access the personal information we hold about you; (b) request correction of inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your account and personal data; (d) withdraw consent for data processing at any time by discontinuing use of the Platform. CSSkins is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
